Below is a list of HDC-financed developments that are currently accepting applications for available apartments.

Beginning Tuesday, June 5th, interested apartment seekers will be able to fill out an online application and apply to select new affordable housing developments as the pilot phase for the NYC Housing Connect system officially begins.  To create an account and fill out an application today, click here: www.nyc.gov/housingconnect.  An HDC-financed development, Richmond Place located in the Richmond Hill section of Queens, is one of two developments accepting online applications at this website.  NYC Housing Connect, developed jointly by New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), HDC, and the NYC Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications (DoITT) will simplify the housing lottery system by allowing interested apartment seekers to fill out a single application and apply to multiple new housing lotteries.

For all other housing lotteries that are not a part of the NYC Housing Connect pilot phase, please download advertisement and follow the instructions on how to request or download individual applications.

HDC finances rental properties reserved for households that meet certain income restrictions, commonly referred to as either low-income or middle-income. Each posting specifies how many of each type of apartment is available. To see rental opportunities for low-income applicants, please click here. For middle-income rentals, please click here. To apply, please follow the instructions on the application information or advertisement posted for each development. All apartments are awarded through a lottery; your eligibility is determined by income. There is no application fee, facilitator, outside expediter, or broker involved in this process. Filling out the application for the specific project that is advertising available units is the ONLY way to apply for one of the apartments. 

To review the income requirements for HDC programs please check here. PLEASE NOTE: Every application is thoroughly checked and all assertions with regard to income and other necessary documentation are reviewed by the developer and HDC to ensure compliance with the applicable program. Tax returns and income are verified with the IRS. If either HDC or the developer notices any irregularities, the file is submitted to the City's Department of Investigation for further investigation. It is a crime to falsify records.
