89 Apartments Available at Affordable Rents

Queens, NY, January 27, 2004 - The New York City Housing Development Corporation (HDC) announces that applications are available for 89 newly constructed affordable housing rental apartments at 90-05 161st Street, Jamaica, Queens. Apartments include studios, one bedroom and two bedroom apartments with average rents ranging from $888 per month for studios to $1,449 for two bedroom apartments. Units are reserved for households with an annual income ranging from $35,000 to $144,000 (incomes vary within these bounds depending on apartment size and family size).
The development is currently under construction though the Ciampa Jamaica LLC, an affiliate of the Ciampa Organization. The development has been financed through the sale of bonds from HDC's middle-income New Housing Opportunities Program (New HOP).
